Practical, flexible online programs designed for Alberta adults who want to launch or change careers in technology, business, and healthcare — without pausing their current life to do it.
Seven online programs in three streams: technology and IT (four programs), business and administration (two) and healthcare administration (one).
Programs run from 420 to 960 instructional hours, which is about 7 to 15 months of part-time study at 12 to 15 hours a week.
Job Bank’s Alberta medians for the main occupations run from $26.43 an hour (administrative assistant) to $50.51 (cybersecurity specialist, a 2024 model estimate).
Most 2025–2027 outlooks are Moderate. They are Good for medical administrative assistants and Limited for unit clerks and logistics coordinators. See the full table.
Alberta’s economy creates consistent demand for qualified professionals in technology, administration, healthcare support, and supply chain. Our programs are built directly around the skills employers in these sectors hire for — practical coursework, job-ready outcomes, and no campus required.
Study around your schedule. All programs are asynchronous — no fixed class times.
No commute. Complete your program from anywhere in Alberta with an internet connection.
Faster than a degree. Certificate and diploma programs take months, not years.
Built for career changers. Programs are designed for adults re-entering the job market or pivoting from a different field — not just new graduates.
The numbers behind our programs’ occupations
Official data about the occupations our programs connect to. It describes these jobs across Alberta — not what Ucademy students will earn — and it shows the less favourable figures as well as the good ones.
68,240
job vacancies in Alberta, Q2 2026
68,715
vacancies in Q2 2025, for comparison
$27.45
average hourly wage offered in those vacancies, Q2 2026
Occupations are the ones listed on each program page. The median wage describes the occupation across Alberta, not what a graduate will earn, and no Ucademy program has graduates yet. Cybersecurity specialists usually need a university degree according to Job Bank; both cybersecurity programs are a route into the field, not a guarantee of that job.
