Canada Revenue AgencyFrequently asked questions
Is there an application fee?
No. There is no fee to register an expression of interest, attend an information session, or speak with an academic advisor.
When will final tuition be confirmed?
Final tuition figures will be confirmed and published before enrolment opens. All registered-interest students will be notified by email as soon as tuition is confirmed. We will not open enrolment — or accept tuition payments — before that point.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — payment plans with monthly instalments are a planned option for all Ucademy programs. We do not intend to require full tuition payment upfront before your studies begin. Specific instalment structures will be outlined in the enrolment offer you receive when enrolment opens.
What happens if I need to withdraw after enrolling?
Ucademy will operate under a published refund policy that complies with Alberta private career college regulations. The full refund policy will be available at ucademy.ca/refund-policy/ prior to enrolment opening.
How Tuition Is Structured
Ucademy's tuition model is built on one guiding principle: you should know exactly what you are paying for before you commit to anything. We do not believe in burying costs in a list of fees that appear only after you have already said yes. Our intent is to offer a single, all-in tuition figure for each program that covers everything you need to complete your studies.
Tuition varies by program type. Certificate programs, which are shorter and more focused, will carry a lower total tuition than Diploma programs, which cover broader career competencies over a longer timeline. Within each program, tuition covers the full course of study — you will not be charged separately for individual semesters or modules.
Final tuition figures are not yet confirmed. We expect to publish program-specific tuition before enrolment opens. In the meantime, we encourage you to register your expression of interest — you will receive a direct notification the moment pricing is available, and you will not be asked to pay anything before that point.
We want your investment in education to be as manageable as possible. Our intent is to offer flexible payment arrangements — not require the full program tuition in a single lump sum before you begin.
Many Canadian employers — particularly in healthcare, logistics, IT, and administration — offer tuition reimbursement or professional development funding for employees who pursue career-relevant education. Check your employee handbook or speak with HR before assuming you need to fund your studies entirely on your own. Ucademy can provide documentation to support employer reimbursement applications upon request.
The Canada Training Credit is a refundable tax credit available to eligible Canadians for fees paid for eligible training. The credit accumulates at $250 per year (up to a lifetime maximum of $5,000). Eligibility and application of this credit to Ucademy programs will be confirmed when tuition is published. For more information, visit the Canada Revenue Agency website or speak with a tax professional.
